TENDER GREENS DINNER:
following some heart work, we'll feast! this meal is plant based and may contain nuts, gluten and soy. (please let us know at checkout of any allergies.)
SENAGALESE TEA TIME + THE CONVERSATION CONTINUES:
rituals of tea go back many years and throughout many cultures. with freshly foraged tea leaves from local gardens, we'll bring together the harmony of nature and nurture the love we have and can give. in senagalese attaya, tea is in three: “The first cup is the love of your mother. The second is the love of your friends. The third is the love of your love.” let us fill our cups so full!
in this part of our event, we continue the discussion - yonis: physics and feelings - we will chat and demystify our complex parts and how we can nurture confidence and comfort in our womanhood.
ESSENTIAL OIL BLEND CREATIONS, MEDITATION + MUSIC:
Does scent improve our feelings and experience? What aromas fit and how do we choose? In this workshop, we'll find the scents we are drawn to (because scent and taste are experiential) and can be infused to the needs for rituals and everyday life. Concoct a potion of one or more blends like: citrus for letting go, tea tree for healing and cleansing, and lavender for calm and relaxation.
Finally, we'll share our blends with some light partner yoga, wind down into a meditation and close the evening with live music from the lovely angela of electric sound bath.
Sound Baths are immersive experiences that incorporate Eastern Gongs and Singing Bowls to balance the neurons of the brainand vibrate the body's molecules in tandem. The effects are relaxing and euphoric. An Electric Sound Bath is a variation on Drone music with a light, New Age, spiritual nod.

Physical works brings clarity and with a clear mind we'll flow again - this time, on the page. Using a simple breathing technique, we'll visualize and create living, breathing mantras with the help of some colorful washes of watercolor. We'll start with a meditation and visualization to create empowering words. Continuing the process of harnessing our energy, we'll fill in splashes of color to light up our words into mantras on paper. from the very basics or connecting with our breath, we'll have sisters surrounding, supporting and creating with us as we each inhale and exhale together.

8/1/15 Ladies Adventure Club event: Better Together
Saturday, August 1, 2015
12-5pm
When we join each other, gather as friends, continue as sisters and unite in collaboration - we are better together.
Join us for an afternoon in Griffith Park -
LOCATED BEHIND TRAILS CAFE, 2333 Fern Dell Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90068
!
BETTER TOGETHER: PART 1 - Cultivating happiness through friendship, fun, and sweat.
We'll start this 45-minute workout with a simple mindfulness exercise to get everyone connected to themselves and to the group. From there, we'll move into our main workout, where we'll focus on simple but effective whole-body movements. We won't need any fancy equipment - we'll be gathered in a shady spot in Griffith Park, using just ourselves and a yoga mat to get a full body workout. We'll also integrate some partner and team-work exercises (they won't be scary or weird - I promise) that will let us break through the fears we may have of leaning on each other. On top of the great reward you'll get from flooding your body with endorphins and dopamine that leave you happy and relaxed, this class will also allow you to get connected to yourself, to your body and to your fellow lady adventurers. Brought to you by Leanne of +PositiveForce.
*class is appropriate for all fitness levels **supplies: please bring with you a yoga mat, water, sneakers and a hand towel**
BETTER TOGETHER: PART 2 - A Creative Collaboration
While the eye can perceive beauty, the hand and pen can express what one feels in their soul. Gather together to draw and see where our markers, pens, and art materials go when we use our imagination and collaborate with our girlfriends. Create and color with the guidance of Joan from Break and Remake.
BETTER TOGETHER: PART 3 - Surrender Series: Reconnect, Restore, Reawaken.
Ladies Adventure Club will close off the day with a warm-down vinyasa flow, followed by restorative partner stretching. Lady Adventurers will come back full circle to where we started together and feel what it means to trust and lean on one another (literally) through partner yoga. The group will then be led through a guided meditation and resting śavāsana with optional healing Thai massage and adjustments. The 45-min surrender series and guided meditation will be led by Adrienne of Rose Garden Yoga.
Supplies needed: yourself, yoga mat, and water.
**note: know your body and your health, please go at your own pace -the above activities are not required but all are welcome!
